IRS Tax Problems

The IRS, or Internal Revenue Service, is a tax collection and enforcement body that is part of the US Department of the Treasury. The primary duty of the agency is to ensure that people pay their taxes punctually and honestly. This is not an easy task because the agency has to deal with the usual tax evaders. Though there are harsh fines in store for the tax evaders, there are cases when honest taxpayers are forced to pay penalties for no fault of theirs.

Consider a scenario where the IRS unintentionally makes an error in listing the liabilities of a person in their records. The person, in these circumstances, will be penalized for the mistake if he is not alert enough.

Then there may be situations where people misinterpret the tax laws and pay more taxes than required. Getting a refund is not an easy process, though in due course the person will get the money.

In contrast to the above, there may be people who pay less than the amount that is actually due. They have to face the wrath of the IRS agency. The punishment is stringent and involves harsh fines and penalties.

To avoid situations such as these, you need to be aware of the prevailing tax laws. If you have problems interpreting them, you can seek the services of a tax law firm. Based on your income and assets, the consultants would be able to give you an exact figure of the tax you are supposed to pay.

You should keep a record of your payment receipts. If you are not sure how much you have to pay, you can take your records to the RO (revenue officer) who can then help you out.

Again, circumstances may be such that you are unable to pay your taxes because you are short of funds. You can contact a tax law firm and seek professional advice. In such situations, you will be able to pay your tax dues as structured installments based on your agreement with the IRS.

How To Deal With Sloping Greens

Reading slopes correctly is vital to putting well. All putts start out straight, but the green’s contour curves the ball. If you’re going to improve your putting and lower your golf handicap, then you must learn how to read a green’s slope.

Reading a green’s slope comes with experience, like a lot of things in golf. The more you play, the better you’ll become at it, as I stress in my golf lessons. Nevertheless, there are some proven techniques I’ve used that will make learning how to deal with sloping greens faster.

Technique #1: Get used to the differences between fast and slow greens
The green’s slope determines the degree of break on a putt. How much the putt breaks depends on two factors: the ball’s speed and the green’s speed (In other words, whether the green is fast or slow). In the summer, the ball tends to break more because the grass is shorter than in the winter, making the green faster. In the winter, the ball tends to break less because the grass is longer than in the summer, making the green slower. Take note of how fast or slow the greens are the next time you play. Get used to the difference between them.

Technique#2: Assess the green’s slope as you approach it
Studying a green as you approach it from the fairway yields a wealth of information, which can prove vital to sinking the shot. In general, a green tends to slope more one way than another does. Take an overview of the green as you approach it to determine its slope. Note which way it slopes. Also, check to see if the grass is cut with the putt, in which case the grass will appear lighter, or against the putt, in which case the grass will appear darker.

Technique #3: Practice putting long-range
Learning to make long-range putts is difficult enough without adding slopes or borrows. Adding slopes between the ball and the hole takes long range putting to another level of difficulty. The best way to learn how to putt in this situation is to practice it. Try this drill to improve your long-range putting. Stand on one side of the green and putt the ball all the way over to the other side. Try to get the ball as close to the green’s fringe as possible, without going off the green Make a game of it with your friends.

Technique #4: Play every putt as if it were straight
One way to deal with slopes is to play every putt as if it were straight. This approach seems contradictory, but Greg Norman relies on it when dealing with a sloping green. Norman, one of the tour’s top money winners, uses this method when confronted with a sloping green. And he’s not the tour that does. When dealing with a sharply sloping green, identify the putt’s breaking pointthe exact spot wide of the hole indicating the amount of break the ball will take. Then putt the ball straight to it.

Technique #5: Deaden the impact on downhill putts
Most golfers would rather putt a ball uphill than downhill, especially on a fast green. But if you play a lot of golf, you’ll face a downhill putt on a fast green sooner or later. One way to do this is to hit the ball off the putter’s toe or off the putter’s heel, close to the hosel. Either way deadens the ball enough so you can take a somewhat normal putting stroke without hitting the ball well past the hole. Which approach you adopt is a matter of personal choice.

These five strategies on dealing with sloping greens will help you learn to read the slopes on greens faster. But no golf instruction, whether golf lesson or golf tip, can teach you how to putt well. Only practice can do that. Remember improving your putting is the fastest way to lower your scores and your golf handicap.

Jack Moorehouse is the author of the best-selling book “How To Break 80 And Shoot Like The Pros.” He is NOT a golf pro, rather a working man that has helped thousands of golfers from all seven continents lower their handicap immediately.

Credit Cards And Loans - So Many Options - So Little Time

Credit Cards and Loans sounds like just two things, but in actuality, it is
dozens of things. Due to a combination of user preferences, lifestyles, and marketing ideas, there are dozens of different types of credit cards out there. Because of the wide variety of things people need money for and the wide variety of ways to collateralize a loan, there are dozens and dozens of different types of loans out there.

Because of the huge variety of different types of credit cards and loans, you
need a really big web site to find out about all of them. If you go off in search
of a new credit card, how do you know you’re getting the best deal or even the
best type of card for your lifestyle? Sure, you want a card that offers you some
sort of a reward, but if you are a soccer mom, do you really need airline miles,
or would a card that provides discounts on gas be a better deal for you?

Maybe you are a business owner and your cash flow is getting a little bit tight.
You might have thought your only recourse was to get a lousy rate on yet
another business credit card. Have you considered one of the many types of
factoring that can provide you with quick cash at reasonable rates? What about
venture capital to take your business to the next level?

No matter what sort of money you are looking for, you owe it to yourself to get

Are You Raising A Complainer?

People hate to wait. Have you noticed that? We hate to wait in lines. We don’t like to wait for our meals. We get angry about slow cars in front of us on the road and so much more.
This tendency of wanting things “now” has caused us to become complainers. We feel “entitled” to things when we have not earned them. And most of all, we are teaching our children to be complainers. They grumble over bad grades when they didn’t do their homework. Or, they want “rewards” in order to be motivated.
I sure don’t want to allow this type of society to take me and turn me into a complainer. I don’t want my children to learn to be selfish and demanding. I know that there are so many families searching and seeking to bring patience, compassion, joy and sensitivity back into their homes. Are you one of these families?
How can you raise grounded children in our “give me” type of world? I’ll tell you. You do it by withholding things from your children. Let them earn that new puppy by working for it instead of just giving it to them. Teach them patience by making them wait for their food at the table. Instead of allowing your children to gobble their food and run, make them wait until everyone is served. Eat together as a family and then insist that your kids help you clean up. That also teaches them service. Don’t reward your children with candy, money and gifts everytime they accomplish something. Instead, reward them with self-esteem and pride by giving them hugs and verbal praise. A child who feels good about themselves doesn’t feel the need to be satisfied with material things. And if they feel content and satisfied, they won’t complain.
I think people are ready for a change. That change can start with us as mothers. If you can find it in your heart to be more patient and less complaining, your children will learn that from you and adapt that attitude as well. All it takes is for us to desire these character goals and put them into practice daily. I don’t know if it will change a nation, but I know it can change my home. Let it change yours as well.

The Narrow Path

The Narrow Path By Jenean Matthews

Dear Entrepreneur:

I’m glad to see you’re still on the path to success. Many have
begun this journey at the same time as you but have dropped off
by the way side. Some were too weary to go on. Some lost hope
along the way and others took the wrong path and detoured into
trying to get rich quick, offering scams and other unethical
procedures. But you are persevering step after step on the road
to your success.

Perhaps you’ve reached that fork in the road where you have to
make another choice in deciding which direction to go. You’ve
built your web page and sent your web address all over the web
world. This may have generated some sales but maybe not what you
expected. It may be time to step off the broad path and enter
onto the narrow path.

What is the narrow path? The narrow path is the point where you
realize the whole world is not your market. You may believe in
your product so much that you’re thinking the whole world does
need your product or service, but unfortunately they don’t. Even
if you were selling water, which is something everyone needs,
your market is not the whole world. Some people want tap water,
some distilled water, some spring water, some ice water and some
may want to live by the water and go out to the well or brook
everyday and get it straight from the source. So you see, you
must take this turn down the narrow path.

I’ve hit this point myself. As a person selling what I believe
to be high-quality gift or specialty items and vitamins and
herbs, I thought my market was much larger than it really is.
You tell me who doesn’t want to buy nice things and take extra
care of their bodies. Well, some people want to get things from
very a variety of souces such as getting their nutrition from
supplements, others want to eat the healthiest foods possible
and some just don’t think it takes all that to remain healthy.
So off I’ve gone down the narrow path.

What do you do on the narrow path? You start an ezine or
newsletter. You allow people who are specifically interested in
your product or service to sign up one by one and refer others
to you along the way. This path is a slower pace. You offer
advise, guidance, new information to groups of people who look
forward to hearing from you. This path is rewarding. You can now
focus your attention on the details of your products or service.
The question is not what will interest this group or that group.
It all will be interesting on your new path.

Was it necessary to take the broader path? Yes. The narrow path
doesn’t begin at the beginning of the journey. The broader path
brings name recognition and site popularity but after you’ve
gather in some customers you come to realize you can’t be
everything to all people. It’s at that point when the fork in
the road appears and you choose to step off onto the narrow path.

We don’t all reach this path at the same time. Some reading this
right now still feel they can sell water to a fish. That’s ok
for now.

When the time is right Resist the temptation to fight Put the
narrow path in sight And reach for a new height.

It’s time to run a new race One with a different pace So put a
smile on your face And turn with grace

Down the narrow path.

Sincerely,

Jenean

Why I Have a Horse

Yes, I have a horse. In Idaho, it is best to have one of the critters. Why? When you’re old, retired, and have your spouse as your boss, you will understand. For example:

“John, take out the garbage.”

I will as soon as I get back from feeding my horse.

“John, mow the grass.”

I will as soon as I get back from grooming my horse.

“John, can we take that cruise we’ve been talking about?”

You better go without me. The horse!

My friend has a boodle of horses. I said, “Dan, I need a horse.”

He said, “Why?”

I said, “A man needs a horse in Idaho. People are always talking about their horses. I don’t have a horse so I’m always left out of the conversation. Besides, I’ve always wanted a horse of my own.”

Dan said, “I’ll sell you one.”

I said, “I didn’t say I wanted to buy one, Dan. I want you to give me one of yours.”

He said, “Where will you keep it? You live in town and your lot is too small for a horse.”

I said, “Where is it now?”

He said, “Right there; the bay with the white stripe on her head and the white fetlocks. We call her, Sissy.”

I looked out in Dan’s corral and said, “Sissy can stay right there.”

He said, “What about the feed?”

I said, “I don’t want to feed a horse, ride a horse, or clean up the manure. I just want to say that I have a horse.”

He asked, “The same way you raised chickens in Iowa?”

“Not exactly,” I said.

He looked at me with those pale blue eyes of his and said, “You just want to have bragging rights on Sissy, right?”

I said, “Not exactly. I really want to have my own horse like everybody else.”

So that is how I got Sissy. I said to my grandkids, “Want to take a look at Grandpa’s horse?” They said, “Yes,” and off we went.

When I got to the farm, Dan and his wife, Deborah, came out of the corral. Deborah said, “Sissy got kicked by the stud. We’ve got the vet bill for you in the house. I’ll be right out with it.”

Signing Your Home Loan Documents - The Fine Print Sharks Are Lurking

It’s an exciting time - you’ve found the home of your dreams, you’ve been approved for a home loan, and there’s only a few formalities left before it’s yours. Then a huge wad of papers you need to sign arrives, and all of a sudden it seems a lot harder. Reading mortgage documents isn’t like reading a good novel - it’s boring, tedious and often full of legal jargon.

Chances are that you’ll sign the documents, get the loan, buy the house - and everything will be okay. But what if it’s not? What if something goes wrong further down the track, and all of a sudden you discover some very nasty clauses in the fine print? Maybe if you’d found them upfront, you might have been able to change them, or at least been aware of what could happen, and saved yourself a lot of heartache.

I’ve bought a lot of houses in my time, and in some ways that’s worse than just buying one - I sometimes get a bit lazy, and think that all mortgage documents are the same. Well, I’ve learnt now that they’re not. I had one loan that I was considering refinancing, because the rate was high. I’d been having some trouble getting finance at the time I first took out the loan, and had gone with a new lender. I wasn’t happy with the fact that I was paying $25 a quarter “loan management fee” and $250 annually as a “package review fee”. Talk about giving the lender money for nothing - they’ve never reviewed my loan except to put the interest rate up!

Imagine my surprise when I finally took the time to read the loan documents more carefully, and discovered that if I refinanced the loan or sold the house within 5 years, I was up for some really steep penalty fees. The loan at the time was for just under $130,000 - and it was going to cost me almost $10,000 to break the contract. Ouch! This was an investment property, which means I’m more likely to sell or refinance than someone buying his or her own home, so fine print in my home loan that makes it so expensive to break the contract is not a good thing for me. Needless to say, I’m still with the same lender and still grumbling every time I pay the $250 package review fee. Only a couple more years to go though!

The bottom line is this - make sure you know what you’re signing. If reading the fine print just leaves you confused or unable to understand what’s being said, then take it to your legal adviser. Never, ever sign home loan documents “on the spot” - you should always take them away and read them thoroughly. If you have questions, ask them. Yes, buying a home is expensive enough already - but believe me, the small cost involved in having a legal professional explain the contract is worthwhile, if you can’t work it out for yourself. You should never sign anything you don’t understand.

This years issue of Euroviisut seems to become a scandal year. One month ago we revealed that Anna Stenlunds song was disqualified as it was already recorded by Swedish group Friends. It’s only the performance and the lyrics that cannot be offensive, but now we have a problem that I right now cannot tell you more about. Everything is being case studied, and it’s a stiff competition, says Ekholm.

Today Ekholm will hold a crisis meeting with YLE. Gylleneskor.se already been in contact with EBU’s Svante Stockselius, and discussed if this could hurt the competition’s image. But it looks like Gary can take part in Turku after all, says Ekholm.

Your Magic Wand

Does the king of seduction have a magic wand? Can you borrow
the king’s magic wand to pick up and seduce women? Yes,
gentlemen we are talking about getting lucky and getting laid in
this article with a magic wand.

When Cliff came over to hang out with Elvis Preston King to see
with his own eyes that the king is the world’s number 1 pick up
artist. The first thing I tried to teach him is that I believe
that I have a magic wand that I wave over each girls head that I
try to pick up. (Cliff is the most respected man in the
International Seduction Community. www.cliffslist.com). Here is
what Cliff had to say about the world’s greatest pick up artist.
“Elvis claims that he is the World’s Greatest Pick Up artist and
that he sleeps with 1-3 women every day. Believe it or not, it’s
true”.

Many of the king’s critics who have tried to analyze the king’s
tremendous success with women just give up and lie to themselves
into thinking that this just can’t be. No man can lay one to
three different women every day of the year and do it year in
and year out. But that is exactly what your king has been doing
for going on forty years!

I really believe that I have a magical power over women. The
magical power I have over women is in the belief itself.
Although, I like to believe it is my magic wand. It is hard for
even me to believe in my own phenomenal success with women so I
choose to believe it is my magic wand.

Yes, to many women I have become irresistible. So much so that
women occasionally stalk your king.

So would you like to borrow the king’s magic wand? Would you
like to turn from the frog into a prince? Would you like to wave
your magic wand over the girl of your choices head and instantly
fill any woman you wanted with feelings of infatuation, love,
and lust?

Just make arrangements to meet the king and find out what
mystical powers the magic wand has that has more girls notched
on the king’s bed post than any man in history!

Do yourself a favor email Elvis Preston King as a starting point.

May the magic be with YOU. You have no idea of the pleasures
that await YOU! Elvis
