The Toys of 2010
When this happens, the value of the toy as a mental and physical outlet is lost. Our dog trainers recommend that customers select six to eight toys for each pet ensuring that each are different in texture, size and shape. The toys should be given out a few at a time, then rotated every few days so that the pet always has something new with which to play. Some of my birds favorite foot toys include stuffed wicker balls, plastic whiffle balls stuffed with cotton rope, or with a bell inside. Foot toys don have to be expensive, either. Keep in mind when buying the toy that the toy will be dropped, thrown, dragged along, dunked, and generally abused. Will the toy hold up to your birds beak, much less being dropped from the top of the cage? If your bird is hard on toys, lean towards a foot toy that is made of a sturdier material. It is no wonder that best baby toys are brightly colored and explains why babies are usually happy when surrounded by these types of toys. Physical Appeal: Have you ever wondered why babies touch so many things? One reason is their need to experience a variety of textures. CONSIDERATIONSJust because the label says the product is safe doesn mean that its OK for your bird. Any toy has the potential to be unsafe if improperly sized to the bird. Ask your toy vendor or bird store owner for help or advice on choosing a toy appropriate for your bird. As with kids, no toy is 100% safe for all birds. Use common sense and supervise your bird when you first give him a new toy. The recipients of your customized stress toys are reminded of the types of products or services you provide simply due to the shape of the toy, and with every use they are further reminded of your company, thanks to your logo or slogan branded on the item. Even better, by choosing promotional stress toys rather than more common items such as mugs or key rings, your gifts are more likely to be used and noticed.
